Mountains, Stones, Rivers and Valleys are recognised throughout History as the ancient Universities of Nature and of Human Cultures. The Māori elders named Kura Tawhiti, recognising this ancient sacred area as ‘the treasure from a distant land’, ‘a place of the highest learning’ and ‘the meeting place of the Gods’. Known for the highest level of cultural, astronomical and spiritual significance, Kura Tawhiti or commonly called Castle Hill, was a Seeding, Birthing, Burial and Initiatory Ritual Space reportedly created over two thousand years by the ancient Waitaha race.

Barry Brailsford, wise elder, renowned historian and Lover of Castle Hill will be joining us to share his remarkable perspectives on this most Sacred Site and Extraordinary Place. Awarded an MBE for his contribution to Maori scholarship and education. Author of many books on ancient Maori traditions and culture.

Within this Academy of Learning, each stone megalith, evokes mysterious and mythological meanings teaching initiates specific knowledge and realisations. Following the Way of the Stones, one is led to the top of the Mountain where an enigmatic monolith, the embodiment of Marontini, the Goddess and Protector of this region, country and world. She stands Strong and Tall, her magnetic energies enveloping the Pilgrim and Initiate and reaching outward across the mountain ranges and valleys.

In 2002 the Dalai Lama visited Castle Hill, feeling its unique potent Energies, and proclaimed this is indeed sacred land, a true Spiritual Centre of the Universe. Such acclaim from a High Teacher and World Leader from the Great Himalayan Mountains. Today tourists drive past not knowing what lies there. Climbers walk up and around and the stones enthralled them with the allure of ancient Mystery and adventure. Yet the Greatest Adventure lies profoundly within!

Staying at unforgettably beautiful and spacious Grasmere Lodge you will be immersed in highest quality of accommodation and evocative ambience in the midst of the Alps. Every perspective gives you inspirational views and close walks and travels to nearby mountains, caves, rivers, lakes and forests.

Our key Travellings will be within Castle Hill, a short drive from Grasmere. The megalithic Stones especially the Goddess Monolith will be central in our explorations. We will drive to other stunning Nature’s sacred sites close by – caves, rivers, lakes and forests - and come to know the profound Learning there and within.

The itinerary is a guide as weather & other changes my occur bringing some surprises along the way.

Group Conversations and Learnings
A facilitated Group Process held to Explore, Expand, and Integrate Teachings and Learnings that bring Inner and Outer Truths, Wisdoms, Realisations for self and life. Timeless ancient & modern Practices and Creative ways will be offered to enable you to grow your capacity as Wise Oracle and Leader wherever you Are.

Individual Meeting and Mentoring (included and optional)
To maximise your potential for ‘real movement’ in this 6 days together.
Each participant will be offered a private meeting with Loretta to focus & deepen your understanding of yourself, and where you may wish & need to Change & Grow.

Transport
Grasmere Lodge, Lake Pearson is 30km east of Arthurs Pass Village and 112km from Christchurch. We will be travelling together throughout the 6 days in a Mini Coach so there is no need for separate transport once there.

Suggested option if not bringing private car is to take the morning or Bus or Train from Christchurch to Arthurs Pass Village. We will pick you up outside the Wobbly Kia Café, Arthurs Pass at 12 mid-day to drive to Grasmere Lodge. (As lunch is not provided you may wish to have an early lunch at the café). We will provide transport from Grasmere lodge to Christchurch Airport on Tuesday the 14th leaving at 11am - arriving approx 1pm.

Food
All meals will be provided, accommodating for special dietary requirements. Simple healthy and hearty fare includes continental breakfast, packed lunch and a hot evening meal each day. A glass of wine, juices will be offered at dinnertime for those who wish. Tea, Coffee, water available anytime. Dinner is at Riverview Villa each night. As a community we plan to share in some preparations and clearing away of Dinner. Breakfast will be served in the Conservatory at the Lodge each morning. Most days we will be outdoors with a packed lunch provided.
(If you would like anything extra for yourself such as in-between snacks please bring. Please note there are no nearby shops in this remote region).

Health and Safety
In this unique, remote and wild setting there is so much to enjoy. Your personal safety is paramount therefore we sincerely ask that you be responsible, respectful and mindful of yourself and fellow travellers whereever you are in this wilderness terrain. For your protection please have adequate travel and health Insurance. As the nearest chemist or medical help is more than an hour away please ensure you have adequate toiletries, personal medications etc for your time at Grasmere. This stunning Alpine Countryside of NZ comes with four seasons in one day including warm, cold, windy, wet and at times slippery terrain. We will be out amongst it All! For your greatest comfort bring warm layers and waterproof clothing and good walking boots, poles if you like for extra support on uneven up & down walking paths.

This Tour is strictly limited in the number of participants so early booking is highly recommended and needed.Please note that this is premium accomodation time at Grasmere Lodge our firm booking and strict cancellation policy is necessary.
To get the Early Bird discount please forward in full $2900 by Feb 10th. Full price $3200 includes quality shared room. Single Room supplement on request additional $1250. To secure your place on this Tour please forward $500 deposit by Feb 10th with Full Payment by March 1st.

 Cancellations before 11th March incur 20% of total payment; from 25th March will incur 50% of total payment
