“How To Live The Dream” Denmark Bulletin, March 2019
By Dr Loretta do Rozario
Many of you may remember that for 10 years and with each Season, I offered an article on “How To Live The Dream” in beautiful Denmark!
Now after Living this Dream it is time to say Adieu. After 14 years I feel called at 61 years to an Adventure with the World! People from all walks of life and from around Australia and WA came to me at Tree Song Retreat. Tree Song I built from the ground up and created this as a Place and Space of Peace, Love and Joy for our inner and outer lives. Whoever came, for many reasons and seasons, we shared, we sang, we danced, we dined, wined and we Celebrated Life no matter what! Tree Song became a Space to bring inner and outer movement and to Truly Come Alive!
I am saddened to leave, and yet to continue to grow Living My Dream I must also continue to Change, Deepen and Grow. Tree Song, a place of such unique beauty and groundedness, must be released so my next Steps of Living can unfold and be realised. A glimpse of this unfolding life will be through a new vehicle of “Living Our Fullness”, my next offerings outward.
Why “Living Our Fullness”? My sense is that many of us came to Denmark to get away from the treadmill of city or country busyness and the rat race of doing, doing, doing! This quest became very real for me when recently a close one came from interstate, depressed and not wanting to go on. We spent 7 nights together in Intimate Conversations and deep personal Work. The allure of money, prestige, possessions and addictions to fastness took over his life. He was spent at 38 yrs. Thankfully he returned home a renewed man with a greater sense of his Real Life and True Desires. Recently a local said “I never came to Denmark for this hectic pace. I feel stuffed!” And he looked stuffed too! Again a younger one wanting to get off the treadmill of frenetic everydayness by living in quiet laidback Denmark! I could give so many examples where rich or poor, young or old, professionals or not, have all asked: “What is my Life really about? I want more out of life or rather I need less!”
Changes are often difficult to make. That is the nature of any change. We are so caught by sameness, tradition, certainty, rules and conformity to what we have known, been taught and have grown up to believe is right, true and worthy. In the forty years I have practised as a psychotherapist and counsellor I have seen how our bodies, hearts and minds eventually say “Enough!”. Crisis can be an opportunity.
You hear in my early farewell as I wait for the Right buyer of Tree Song, that I am wishing for you and for myself The True Fullness of Life. And yes it is our Emptying that allows for the Changes necessary for Real Living that nourishes and grows us from within. Outside change, like buying new furniture or a house is easier! Growing the Essentials of our Hearts and Souls is the Ultimate Challenge. May each of us in the years to come, discover More of Who we are and truly want to Become and may “Yes” steer our Life’s Choices and Directions. Thank you all for the Grace of Good Company in Denmark.
Cheers and to Living Our Full and Enlivened Life
